Ultra Long distance Wednesday Mar 17th
The ultra long distance was dominated by the nordic countries. In the men class it was dubble Finnish at the top two, where Olli-Markus Taivainen came at first place and Staffan Tunis on second. Eduard Khrennikov from Russia came at third place.
In the women class Marte Reenaas from Norway came at first place by 40 secunds down to Helene Söderlund on second place. Barbro

Norway came at first place in the men's class and there by won the first their first distance in the World cup final.Sweden came at second place and Russia third. In women's class Russia came at first place and Natalya Tomilova has won three out of three distances in the World cup final. Norway came at second place, and Sweden on third.

Middle Distance Sunday Mar 14th

The middle distance was dominated by the Russian team, who came at first place in both classes. In the men class Eduard Khrennikov won with a margin of 23 seconds down to another Russian, Andrey Grigoryev. Lars Moholt from Norway came at third place.

The top three positions in the women class was the same as yesterday's sprint. Natalya Tomilova from Russia came at first place, Marte Reenaas from Norway came second and Olga Novikova from Kazakstan on third place.

Today the World Cup in Ski Orienteering began and the first distance in the competition was the sprint. In the men class Staffan Tunis from Finland came at first place, second Eduard Khrennikov from Russia and third place Eivind Tonna from Norway. In the women class Natalya Tomilova from Russia came at first place, second Marte Reenaas from Russia and third place Olga Novikova from Kazakstan.

List of final entries
Unfortunatly the Italian team will not attend the World Cup final in Ånn. However, we are very happy that the Czech team will take part in the event. They had not made any preliminary entry earlier.

WORLD CUP FINAL FOR SKI ORIENTEERING IN ÅRE
This weekend starts the World Cup and Pre-WOC in ski orienteering, witch is the last round of the world cup in ski orienteering of this season. Åre witch is most known for its big alpine competitions will be the host of the arrangement. The world cup in ski orienteering will of course not take place in the slopes of Åres, but near the Ånn inn a few Swedish miles west of Åre.

VÄRLDSCUPFINAL FÖR SKIDORIENTERARNA I ÅRE
Nästa veckoslut startar för-VM och sista omgången i årets världscup i skidorientering. Åre kommun som är mest känt för stora alpina tävlingar kommer att stå som värd för arrangemanget. Nu är det inte i Åre-backarna skidorienterarnas världscuptävlingar genomförs, utan vid Ånns kursgård ett par mil väster om Åre.

Inbjudan till Svenska SkidO Cupen och blankett för bokning av kost och logi finns nu upplagd. I seniorklasserna får de tio bästa åkarna utöver uttagna i landslaget starta i samband med världscupklasserna. Gäller även de tävlingar som ej ingår i Svenska SkidO Cupen, se inbjudan.
